FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

  • The organization properly maintains documents pertaining to financial transactions (balance sheets, income & expenditure statements etc.) in an easily retrievable form. Salaries and petty cash registers, fixed assets register etc. are regularly maintained.

  • The audit is the review mechanism that provides assurance to senior management on the effectiveness of internal controls as well as coordinating the finance management process within the organization. It is done every year by professionally qualified accountants. The names of banks and auditors of the organization are circulated to the Board members. An annual audit is conducted regularly and the audit report is duly circulated to the board members.

  • The organization has a joint signatory system.

  • The organization’s expenditures are in line with organizational policies. The funds are used for the purpose they have been obtained for.

  • Information regarding capital expenditure, local travel of board members, maintenance of office, remuneration to staff is publicly disclosed.

New World Hope is a non-profit, non-political, non-religious & non-governmental organization, established in 1996. New World Hope Organization (NWHO) was registered in 2005, as an NGO with the government of Pakistan under societies registration Act. XXI of 1860 (Registration No. RJSC/DISTT RWP/40)


The Organization [NWHO] is engaged in humanitarian, environment and participatory development and sustainability here at home and abroad. HUMAN RESOURCE

New World Hope Organization consists of male & female members who are from different fields of life i.e. I.T. professionals, lecturers, doctors, nurses, food technologies, social workers, marketing professionals, students and youth of the area.


New World Hope Organization depends on volunteers for many aspects of our operations to augment our support staff. Our programs and staffs are continually growing. Volunteers are the backbone of NWHO. There are many caring and committed individuals and groups across the world who volunteer their time and expertise.

NWHO believes that everyone has the power to give. The poorest of the poor can give us precious non-material gifts of humility, resilience, profound gratitude, dignity, grace under fire, inimitable faith. Each one of us has  to give something. The Code of Good Practice for NGOs Responding to HIV


The NWHO is a signatory to the Code of Good Practice for NGOs Responding to HIV/AIDS. Our commitment and response to HIV is guided by the Code of Good Practice for NGOs Responding to HIV. The Code of Good Practice sets out key standards, methods and evidence base required for effective responses to HIV and organizations commit to continuous improvement and accountability by supporting the Code of Good Practice.


CHS Guidance Notes and Indicators


The NWHO is a member of  the CHS Alliance and adheres to the guidance notes and indicators of the CHS which are a supplement to the Core Humanitarian Standard on Quality and Accountability (CHS).



The People in Aid Code of Good Practice in the management and support of aid personnel


The NWHO is a full member of People In Aid which is an internationally recognized management tool that helps development and humanitarian assistance agencies enhance the quality of their human resources management.


The Keeping Children Safe Coalition standards


The NWHO is a member of the Keeping Children Safe Coalition and is also committed to the Keeping Children Safe Standards. The purpose of the Keeping Children Safe is to achieve the highest level of protection for children and advocates organizations for the adoption of international standards on safeguarding children.


The SPHERE Project – Humanitarian Charter and Minimum Standards in Disaster Response


The NWHO is also committed to the Sphere Humanitarian Charter and Minimum Standards in Disaster Response. The Sphere Project is based on two core beliefs: first, that all possible steps should be taken to alleviate human suffering arising out of calamity and conflict, and second, that those affected by disaster have the right to a life with dignity and therefore a right to assistance.

NWHO has been using Financial Accounting Software since 2008 to record financial data.



DELEGATION OF AUTHORITY

NWHO has developed clear written policies regarding the authority for each level of management and staff. The staff is empowered to take decisions at all levels. Procedure manuals and policy documents are available for its all staffs.
