Your time is valuable for our work. NWHO want to help you,enhance and sharpen your professional skills. Internship program provides opportunities for students to gain practical experience in the nonprofit sector or gain school/college/university credit. One can Intern on the following core areas-
NWHO Programs e.g. Health, Economic Development etc.
Fundraising/Grant Writing.
Community/International Development
Nonprofit Management and Operations
Writing Reports
Handle other Duties as Assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Anyone from any country who will be at least 18 years or older is eligible to apply.
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills in English, local interns must be fluent in Urdu and English in reading, writing and speaking
Ability to work well in teams and individually.
Ability to summarize research findings and recognize critical facts and informative material.
Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and the Internet applications.
NWHO will not provide accommodation, any allowances, food, transportation, translation and other costs except local travel compensation.
It is suggested that the intern should bring her/his own laptop (desk, Internet and the coffee are provided during working hour). Make all necessary arrangements for earning educational credit before you begin the program.
The length of time for Internship position varies based on the needs of the department and the skill level of the position. Anyhow the minimum length will be 6 months but in exceptional cases shorter periods might be considered. Thus minimum and maximum duration and hours can be negotiated before starting your job. The program is full time, five days a week during office hours
Applicants must be currently enrolledas a full timegraduatein agraduatedegree program in any approved school, college and university.
INTERNSHIP BENEFITS
An NWHO certificate of participation will be provided.
Approximately USD 50/mon local travel compensation will be provided.
